As we continue to work our way through these strange times, the Committee have made the heart breaking decision to officially cancel the 2020 Thornton Cleveleys & District Horse Club season.
This includes the shows scheduled to take place on Sunday 2nd August and Sunday 6th September 2020.
We have maintained our view throughout the year that we would only hold our shows when the safety of our competitors, grooms, helpers, family members, judges, stewards and committee members could be guaranteed. Unfortunately, at the moment, this isn’t something that is possible.
Please be assured that this isn’t a decision that has been taken lightly and we have left this decision as late as possible to give us the best chance of operating. We also want to assure you that this decision has in no way been impacted by the works taking place on the showfield.
All of our 2019 members will shortly receive a newsletter detailing the improvements that we intend to make over the next few months and updating you on the works taking place on the showfield. We will also post the newsletter on Facebook and on our website.
If you have any suggestions as to how we can make 2021 our best season yet, please get in touch with us.
