The Chairman and Committee would like to thank all the members who, as requested, returned their Annual show trophies before or at the May show. It was very much appreciated.
Despite a personal letter being included in the newsletter to all trophy winners, listing the classes to which the trophies had been awarded, we still had 18 competitors who had won 30 trophies between them, who have made NO effort either to bring them back or to apologise for the delay.
The returning dates are on your letter, on the newsletter and in 2023 schedule. Please get them to Stanah Horse Feeds, Margaret Williamson or College Farm before the June Show.
Don’t forget we need the Willow Nook Show trophies returned on or before the June show.
Two members have 22 trophies outstanding between them, from both shows. We collect them in early to check they are all there, cleaned and in good repair, ready for the next winner.
DO NOT use the excuse the engraver is busy – count up how many months you have had them on display at home!!!
This committee works hard to keep this club functioning and the shows running, without having to chase up delayed trophies. You got yours, spare a thought for the next winner who will be disappointed when the trophy is not there for them to collect.
We are seriously thinking that regular late comers will not be allowed to take home their trophy, just have a photo taken with it. The decision is yours.
